Title: Miku collage
Submitted By: koiitan
Notes: Hatsune Miku collage I made with magazines, newspapers, tissue paper and decorative texture paper. The stars are doodled with marker and cutted. I tried my best :D
Title: Cotton Candy Ei-Ei-Oh!
Submitted By: kurohaato
Notes: Wasshoi! I finally got around to covering a Love Live song! Miku doesn't have as much energy as Furirin but she's makes up for it in cuteness. I wanted to do the game size version but school has been kicking my butt over the past week and I ran out of time to tune Miku. I'm still bad at mixing but I feel like I'm getting better at tuning, so there's that at least!
About Miku Day
The first Miku Day was celebrated by Japanese fans on March 9th, 2008, about 6 months after her debut. Crypton Future Media, the company that created Miku, officially recognized it the following year, hosting the 39's Giving Day concert on Miku Day 2010. For almost 20 years, fans have been using the day to post music, art, animation, and more featuring Miku!
Fun Fact: The date 3/9 was chosen as a pun. One of the possible readings of 39 is "mi ku", so fans decided to dedicate the date to their digital diva. As an aside, 39 can also be read as "san kyuu", and 39's can be read as either "mi ku su" or "san ku su", which are the Japanese pronuciation of "thank you", "mix", and "thanks", respectively. All 4 variants are commonly seen in the vocaloid scene, though "mi ku" and "san kyuu" are the most frequently used.
