and here is where our story begins ..
everything was quiet.
i was sitting by
the window, then i suddenly noticed a tiny floof hiding underneath my teacup.
" pofu ! " it squeaked.
i looked underneath
the table, but there was
nothing there except a crumb, three sleepy dust bunnies, and a very suspicious little button.
so i picked up
the button and asked, "are
you lost ?"
the button wiggled,
" putty meep. "
this seemed like a perfectly reasonable answer !
i poured a little more tea, placed a biscuit beside
the saucer, and waited.
after a few minutes,
the floof returned wearing a hat made from a blueberry leaf.
"ah ," i said. "
you've brought company."
behind
the floof came a procession of tiny creatures carrying spoons, ribbons, acorn teacups, and one enormous strawberry.
nobody explained
the strawberry.
and so we had tea.
the floof drank three drops.
the button drank
nothing.
the strawberry sat very politely in
the middle of
the table ( even though it doesn't have legs, it was actually sitting and
you could tell it )
then someone whispered, "
what if
the moon is actually made of pudding ?"
"i mean, a
cheese moon is pretty cliché at this point."
the strawberry suddenly sneezed!!!
" achee~" (that's how all strawberries sneeze)
"Bless
you," whispered a little voice. A shy little ant had been watching our tea party!
the ant carried a cloud of sparkles and poured it in everyone's teacups.
the tea has become sparkle soup.
i took a little sip.
